Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, and every Central Indiana municipality treats major appliances as special waste — most curbside programs won't touch a refrigerator, freezer, water heater, or window AC unit without a scheduled bulk pickup that's usually weeks out. We show up the same day or the next, disconnect the unit safely, and haul it to a facility that recovers the refrigerant, separates the metals, and recycles the components properly.
That last piece matters. Any appliance containing refrigerant — fridges, freezers, chest freezers, window AC units, dehumidifiers — has to be EPA Section 608-compliant. We work with certified recovery partners so nothing vents into the atmosphere. The copper, steel, and aluminum inside the unit get pulled out and recycled through metal partners. What comes out at the end is a fraction of what came in, and none of it hits a landfill.
Practically? You point, we lift. We bring the dolly, the moving pads, the tools to disconnect water and power lines, and the truck. You get a swept floor and an emailed photo of your empty utility room in about 20 minutes.

Water lines get shut off and capped. Power cords get unplugged or, for hardwired units, disconnected at the breaker. Gas lines require a licensed plumber — we'll flag it and coordinate.

Dolly out
Moving pads and appliance dollies protect floors, doorways, and stair rails. Every unit walks out — no drag marks, no scratched hardwood, no chipped door frames.

Load & recycle
Refrigerant-containing units go to certified recovery partners. Metal-heavy units (washers, dryers, water heaters) are routed to scrap recycling. Working appliances are donated where possible.

Sweep & photograph
The space where the appliance sat gets swept clean. Final photo goes to you before we leave — a fast, no-drama transaction.

A Carmel homeowner in the Village of WestClay was getting new appliances delivered Saturday morning. She called Wednesday needing the old fridge, dishwasher, wall oven, and beverage fridge out by Friday afternoon.
